This was going to be easier than Lux thought. Jonah's mother knew her. They were friends. It would be all right. It felt more like a vacation now. Lux smiled.
"Its you, I never thought I'd see you again," Lux hugged Jonah's mother. She was just as she remembered. Even tempored and sweet. There was nothing smug about her.
"How did you find me?" She looked at the three of them as if it had to be her imagination at work.
"We've come for Cher, actually," Lux nodded. "Jonah said we could find her here."
"Cher?" Jonah's mother looked puzzled. "I thought she went back with him?"
"No, she didn't." Lux was suddenly worried. "She's been missing. And he said she was here." Lux looked at Anthony then.
"That would be Jonah." Anthony smirked.
"Do you have a problem with my son?" She questioned then as if he'd never done anything wrong in his life.
"Yes, I guess I do." Anthony gave her a stare then. "He's taken our friend, and he won't tell us what he did."
"What are you assuming?"
The next thing Lux knew they were being escorted out to the street.
"You could have been nicer." Lux told Anthony.
"For what reason?" Anthony scowled a bit. "For all we know, it could have been a night of passion gone arye, and he could have disposed of her here just as easy as some horried motel room back in New York City."
"Don't say that," Lux couldn't think of him actually being that vile.
"What gets me as to why his mother would want to be incognito here," Leon shrugged.
Lux jerked out her cell phone then from her coat pocket.
"What are you doing?" Anthony's eyes lit.
"What I should have done in the first place." Lux told him. She was calling Cher.
